ALBUMS MUST-HAVE OF PRINCE

Which albums stick out as one of the most important, significant, amazing album Musically?
I want to buy some of his albums but the ones that have great music,innovative music. please help.

I agree with the albums suggested so far, but also if you can still find a copy of Gold Experience, I think that's a must have too. It's the must-have "symbol" years album!

But Prince is so damn Jeckle and Hyde, you're still missing out on groundbreaking stuff a la "The Question Of U" and "Joy In Repitition"...sometimes his weakest albums have some diamonds amongst the coal.
