I love, love, love, my prince tattoo and would not dream of being ashamed of it. His music has shaped so much in my life that if anything I bring it up. Keep rocking and repping with yours. If they dont get it forget em!!!

You know I have had a P tat for over 12 years; and have never been ashamed of it. I didn`t get it to impress anyone else, I got it to impress me. You should post a pic of your tat here on P. org and see how many people dig it.

I have 2 Prince tats,and am considering getting a 3rd! Never once regretted getting them-u shouldn't either!

I want a little somewhere. What is a good place for one of those , just a small one?

I love Prince's music and I am a huge fan buuuuut, I don't want his name, symbol or anyone else's permanently written into my flesh.

If Prince means that much to you, don't worry about what others say. But the fact that you are noticing people's reactions to them and that the reactions are bothering you makes me feel like mayyyybe you regret getting them just a bit. I am pretty sure there were people that looked at them in the way you described before. People are like that.

Screw em! Don't let them get to you. I think your tattoo's sound nice. Style & placement are everything. I think you picked great spots for them. I personally think the shoulder blade bra level is the best spot for a tat on a lady. Who knows why they cringe when they see it. I don't understand why some people don't like Prince or tattoo's. But unforunately you have doubled your chances of getting crap from close-minded jerks.
I have two. One is a small Stones tounge on my right shoulder & the other is a Chili Peppers astrix on my right arm just above my wrist. I too get looks & crap from some. But I feel sorry for these people because they don't understand (and never will!)
I actually met a girl last night in a club who had a tattoo on her lower back area. Prince's name came up. She showed it to me and we sang kiss as loud as we could. Now this was a rock club. So we got a few dirty looks and As much as we wanted to say F#$K you! We just laughed.
I want a Prince tattoo but I can't decide where to put it or what style. I love the symbol, but I used to draw the old symbol 0+> alot when I was in Highschool. On books, walls, desks...My teachers hated me for it. Lol
So because of the old school conection (1999 was my first Prince album) I'm coflicted. Anyone have advice on placement & style?
