PrintableSorry, but I can't be one to cheer you up any. Honestly, if you showed me I wouldn't think much of them either. I just think it's silly to get a music tattoo, for the simple reason that even though you're diehard enough now to think getting the logo or name or symbol or whichever etched permanently onto you is a good idea, you may not always be. The same way you may be so completely in love with your significant other now, but split up two years from now. Most people would agree that getting ink of your SO is a dumb idea, so why should getting ink for a band you like be any different?

Maybe they were laughing because the symbol is a cliché.

See, that's what I'm talking about! I can understand people wanting to have a remembrance, I guess. But I don't understand the "literal-ness" of a lot of tattoos. Names, faces, etc. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

I haven't got any Prince tats yet.. but i work at a marriott and there you have to put where your from under neath your name on your name badge so i had them put Brent Pasiley Park, MN I really hope someone calls me out on that. and be like "man, i'm from minn. that's not even a real town, it's prince's place!" lol. I've had the symbol tattoo on my arm since the symbol cd was released, but i really want to cover it up now.. as you can see from avatar i have a couple on
my back.... i want to do a partial sleave... but the reason i want to cover it up has nothing to do with anyone not liking it... I just want something else  | |
