If you're missing ANY other Prince item, get Kamasutra last.
It's really only for collector's, 'cuz most people don't like it. |

Neither did I. he used Clair Fisher's orchestra for years and then when he tries something more calassical he uses synths that don't even sound like real strings. That turned me off on the album. Too bad he thought it would sound beautiful like that or something. | |

And that completes my collection!! I wish I had known! I just got rid of a few cassettes a few months ago, Kamasutra being one of them! I would've just given it to you

I didn't know there was a big cassette market on eBay. Oh no worries. I didn't pay too much for it. I don't think there much of a market for cassette's, but with Kamasutra.... The only time I've seen on there is with the Crystal Ball package. Which i already have the the 4 disc version. So I never really wanted to play all that money just for one disc. So i got the cassette when i saw it. So i can at least listen to it. [Edited 4/15/07 19:20pm] | |

really one of his worst items. I've tried listening to it a few times but I can't get thru it. It was released the same year I got married and thought it would be a nice thing to play for my bride to be, but it is tough to get thru. I don't fault Prince for trying to do stuff like that (Paul McC did it, so did Billy Joel) but I have to say that you should make it the LAST thing you collect of his.

Being a big fan of Frank Zappa and seeing Prince and Zappa as kindred spirits (musically speaking, that is), I was ecstatic to hear that Prince was venturing into the "orchestral" realm. However, when I finally heard it I thought it was at best an adequate attempt. I don't listen to it much.

Only if you can get it for free...it's my least favorite of his instrumental stuff. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass.
