Prince on the radio

What was the last song your heard by Prince on the radio??? Besides what song, when was it and where was it. I'm in Hawaii and I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I heard Prince on the radio here.

One time (last summer b4 I came here) we caught the end of a Prince song on the radio... but I've got no idea which one it was. It was long before I knew any of his songs.

But the last time I did hear him on the radio was a couple of weeks ago.

I had a station on that played 80's/90's/today's music... and they played "Let's Go Crazy"... and I went nuts cuz I was so happy.

I think it was Doves. "JACK"FM in NY plays him pretty regularly I think. I don't listen to the radio a whole lot but have heard Prince on there a few times- always 80's material.

I said this in the "purple-neck" thread- who else feels like they personally scored a point whenever you hear P on the radio?? lol double score if someone else is with you at the time! lol
Ask where they're going, they'll tell U – "Nowhere"
They've taken a lifetime lease on Paisley Park ...music

my mom was in the car at the time... she didn't get it, though. She thinks Prince is an "acquired taste"... I agree... but my opinion's the most important.

that's why I don't listen to the radio anymore. haha.

And when I do, it's always an 80's/90's/today's music station. So there's always a slight chance that Prince will make an appearance.

I could think of a couple of reasons why.
Age is probably a factor. People today don't think he's capable of much cuz he's edging 50 and has been around for a while, been there/done everything, etc. [I don't see age anymore, really]

And I think some people, based on the crazy things he's done in the past, might even regard him as a freak cuz he's always changing & evolving. (I'd spit on those people...).

If you approach Prince with an open mind, he'll continue to surprise u again and again... if nobody can see that, shame on them, it's their loss.

I don't think its age. With the exception of 1984, it's always pretty much been this way except in certain markets.

I haven't listened to the radio in months, but the last time I heard a Prince song on it was about six months ago and the song was "Sign O The Times". Well, the last few seconds of it. lol
