Besides, most people are not going to bother the mods with stuff like this. And I can imagine it's a pain in the ass for the mods to attempt to keep up with these types of threads. It's not like they're being paid to do this.

Well it's not like there's anything exciting going on with Prinnce right now, so let folks talk about whatever they want to, geez!

The one thing that's a drag is when anyone brings up a point about P that may be negative, folks from all around comes swooping in to P's defense. Many, in this forum especially, comes across like Prince, the man, can do no wrong. No matter what. Someone could have made a valid point but then you have 10, 15 folks defending Prince, someone who they've never even met, like their life depended on it. It then turns into idol- worship. Not just someone who digs his music. I can careless about the threads dealing with P's clothes or his hair or the type of women that P dates. That's all apart of a pop artist life. That's harmless. At the end of the day, I'm just glad to see that there's STILL so much interest in the man. I've been hip to P since "Soft and Wet". I've seen him live many times. Several, early in his career, when he was COMPLETELY different than he is now. I often wonder when I'm on this site, that if many of the folks that are so into P today, would truly have liked Prince back in the early days. Because P is a living legend and he has totally smoothed out his image, he's more comfortable for folks to get into him. Plus, it's cooler for folks to say they like Prince today then it was in 1980. It's a credit to the man though. That's for sure.
