My teachers used to chide me for my mixing of printing and cursive. Eclectic handwriting was supposed to signal an uneven temperment and a cluttered thinking process. Oh well, pharmacists seem to be the only ones complaining now. Makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one who writes like that. 'cept mine is not that flowery. My husband says even in high school he couldn't read it, when he got a note from me he just hoped it was good and was happy to get it. biggrin

Ur teachers would have chided me too because I mix print with cursive all the time. I can write faster that way.

Not really a precursor - it was the first symbol. He's been using that since the back of the 1999 album and used it A LOT before the revised prince came along.

Hand-written lyrics used during an aftershow in Miami 1994, 4 the Song: 'Ripopgodazippa'. He had composed the song earlier that day and then performed without knowing the text - writing down lyrical cues so he could remember them on stage. (7th June, 1994)
