Quick! How does Prince record his music? I know Prince is very prolific and records very quickly but how exactly does Prince lay down his tunes?
What does he record first? Drums beats (from a machine), then bass is what I'd guess. Followed by keyboards, then guitars. Last would be vocals (first background, then lead). I know he doesn't usually record one-off demos. He prefers to write and record his songs immediately when he's inspired. What do you all think? SolaDEO!

Femi said that "you never know". It depends on his mood and what is in his head. He may start with writing. Or it could be guitar. He might lay down some stuff and ask John Blackwell to come in and lay something down. I got the picture that it depends on his inspiration and what feels right to him at the time.
I felt very fortunate to hear about that aspect of Prince too Enjoy. [This message was edited Mon Sep 16 9:31:49 PDT 2002 by Berry]
