Prince & Cindy Crawford I'm just curious, I understand that Cindy C was about Cindy Crawford, but is it known if he ever did fuck her or not, or was he obsessed with her, and she made it clear she wasn't interested? Maybe he was a bit of a stalker??

what i would like to have cleared up finally is the rumour that i read
in a dutch tabloid just prior to the release of Diamonds & Pearls. it said prince intended to include "Cindy C" on the album and cindy c herself was kinda ok with it but her than boyfriend Richard Gere said no way. always wondered about that. Cindy C seems an unlikely song to be on a typical commercial slick album like Diamonds & Pearls. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

By the way I think Cindy C is one the funkiest and uniqe songs to come out. P throws his feelings way out there on that song and there some damn funny parts in there. As far as his getting Cindy C I have no clue and to my knowledge I have never heard he has.

Cant see it on D+P, just wouldn't work. It HAS to follow Le Grind, just flows from one to the other so slick. Designed to be together. Love it.

I love that song! It always puts me in a good mood, it's so upbeat and fun. Cindy Crawford was my favorite supermodel so Prince writing a song about her was killer! I even loved the fact that it had all this mystery surounding it because it was on the Black Album and I only heard the song a few times late at night on KDWB.

I gotta clear the cobwebs off my Black Album and give this song a spin. I haven't listened 2 it since the EARLY 90s. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."
"We had fun, didn't we?" -Prince (1958-2016) 4ever in my life

I don't think Prince and Cindy Crawford ever got together. I personally think she didn't because of career reasons. At the time, I really don't think her fan base would have been too happy with that ( which is also why I think she so quick and vigorously went on the defense when Shaquille O'neil implied they had a quick fling during a radio interview he did). I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

We don't have to like her for Prince to like her. She's was (and still is) a beautiful woman and that's what Prince likes.

Ok i know but Prince has let's say a different kind of taste in women...i think...i mean he had dated gorgeous women like Kim Basinger and Vanity...but who cares...he can do whatever he wants...

Uh,...P had seen Cindy at a club one night and instead of him walking up to her himself, he sent a bodyguard over to her and said "Prince wants to talk to you." Cindy told the bodyguard to go tell P to come over and tell her that himself. Prince didn't so that was that. They were both at the MTV Awards show when P played Gett Off. Cindy said, on stage, that she wanted to ask P what Cindy C meant. I don't doubt that P and Cindy didn't hookup at some point. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Personally, I think Cindy Crawford was more his type than Kim Basinger was!
I'm still trying to figure out how and why the hell that hookup happened!

The Black Album started out as some songs Prince put together for a party for Shiela E. Perhaps it was a bit of a joke between them. I don't think the song is exactly about Prince lusting after Cindy Crawford, more about any average joe doing so, her face was on every magazine at the time.

I've got a mole on my ass.
But unlike the one on Cindy's cheek, which looks like an irresistible little love button, mine looks like a huge, hairy, mishapened lump of coal.

They went out at least a few times- I recall a picture of them in People magazine during the LoveSexy era where the 2 of them were arriving at or leaving a showing of M. Butterfly. He had the long hair then and one of those outfit with a word written in big letters on one of the sleeves. She was a whole foot taller than him.
Still, by no way could she be cool with that song and it is about her. Talks about her profession ("high class model over in Paris, France"), calls out her beauty mark, and implies that she's a prostitute that'll do it with anyone if they pay the fee. A few quotes that I can recall: "I'm sure you're intelligent/a wizard in math and all that shit/but I'm a tad more interested in playing in your cottage tonight" "Superfine heiffer" And don't forget the part where it's implied that some grotesque dude wants to "play" with her, her friend tells her to run, and she's undecided because he has the fee. Yeah, man, that's a mean-ass record, like the rest of the Black Album.

Yeah, man, that's a mean-ass record, like the rest of the Black Album. That would be "a tad more interested in flying your kite tonight"? I think you mean. I wouldn't say he was implying she was a prostitute, more offering her usual fees that she would get from a model shoot, so he could take pictures with his camera, and maybe she could 'play' with him also, if she liked! So it is very likely he did 'fill her boots'. result!
