If you've ever seen the video where chris rock interview's prince (which you can find on youtube) there's section where he says

"we'd have the scene where i go hug the bass player, he's a man, and then kiss the keyboard player, she's a woman"

what video is he talking about?

Isn't this just a reference to the early performances of Head? Lots of kissing of the female keyboard player... the reason why Gayle Chapman left the band, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know but I thought Gayle left because she didn't like the song "Head".

not speaking of any video, just refering to what would take place on stage.

I think the song offended her christian sensibilities and the stage kissing was the final straw... though I may just be playing out a fantasy in my own head... it's been known.
