So many of the posts i see here are negative posts complaining about Prince for one reason or another. Either the cd is too short or the new disc is taking too long or the club costs too much for what we've got (even though the year is not over yet and it never said we would get a cd every three months...that was just speculation) or Prince is greedy or whatever. I just don't get WHY some of the people who are here are REALLY here. I've been following his career since i was seven and i know he's a little (well, maybe a lot) crazy and certainly pretty damn random but that is also what i love about him...and i've come to expect it. Anyone who has paid 100 ducketts to join his club or see him live probably knows this too...i just don't get all the nasty comments...most of the people who are saying "I'll never join again" said the same thing at the end of their last membership in January...so why join again? why continue to give him your money if you dislike his dealings? Wouldn't you all be seriously disappointed is Prince suddenly started behaving in a predictable manner...then you would complain "Damn, Prince is so predictable these days...he never keeps us guessing..." the fact of the matter is, i believe, that we all love not knowing what will happen next...the ones who bitch the most probably love it the most...after all, they are the first ones to post. peace.

It seems as if many fans expect Prince to wait on them hand and foot. The second something doesn't go how they expect they get upset. Complaints about the content and such of his music as well as complaning about the NPGMC which is valid to a point. But it is HIS art he should do as he pleases with it.

People threw their $100 bucks down and are left waiting over the course of a year to find out if it was worth it or not. Of course thats gonna cause speculation and apprehension. Especially when legitimate information trickles out of the club like once every 3 months.

When people are having problems getting the priority tickets they were promised, when empty packages start showing up in their mailboxes, what do you expect them to say?

The next time you go to return something at a department store, I would love to see the look on your face if the clerk gave you a 10 minute lecture about how you should be grateful the store is even there.

Get real. The fact that your a fan of someone doesn't mean you throw money at them for fun.

Whats even more sad is (1) his poor business practices and (2) rabid fanatics who are convinced he can do no wrong become the topic of discussion on here more than his music.

you can't compaare the npgmc to a department store. if i didn't like something in a store i wouldn't buy it...let alone not like it, buy it, complain about it, and try to return it. You know what you are getting into with Prince...just sit back and enjoy the long, fun, bumpy road. If you can't do that then you should not be a part of it. peace.

That's right I agree Prince is the Boss and nobody controls him. It's done at his Speed and what he wants to do. I would sometimes like to lite a Candle under everyone's Ass though and get them moving!

If the club is for the fans, by the fans, and they are paying part of your income, I would suggest you listen to their comments (good and bad).

I do not think everything he does is perfect...most fans of his don't...i just don't feel the need to consistently bash him because i don't necessarily agree with what he's doing...do your friends bad mouth you everytime you do something they don't like? If they do, i suggest you get a new crew. Prince makes lots of mistakes, as do we all...that is life. As far as me jamming out in second grade...it was actually third grade with the Purple Rain album quickly followed by the 1999 album which i brought in to my third grade class to listen to at the end of the day as we were all allowed to bring something in to share with the class...needless to say, not many songs were played and my teacher was not thrilled! peace.

If I want to complain about the club to which I paid money to, and am therefore theoretically a share holder, then that is my want.

If someone wants to disagree with my critisism them that is their want and I would happily debate the topic with them.

But if someone cannot remove their blinkers and actually see that the club, the music and the man himself does indeed have faults, and that critisism can help resolve those faults to some extent, then they are the ones that become a danger to the very person we all come here to discuss (Kindly or not).

Its comments like these (above) and attitudes like that in general which are a danger to Prince. The critisism can only help, even if at first it might hurt, but fanatisism is a danger to both Prince, his business and his music.

Natashia, it is attitudes like yours that Prince is undoubtably petrified of because at the end of the day, it is people like you that end up with a gun in your hand, pointing the barrel in his direction. Obsessions are dangerous. They lead to fanatisism, which leads to irrational behaviour, which leads to unacceptable actions.

And in all seriousness, your attitude is unhealthy to yourself and others. If what you write is genuinely what you feel inside then you have a problem that is much much larger than this topic, or any other topic on the org. It is a problem that if not fixed, then will hurt you and possibly others beyond repair.

If i am not sane enough to see what i am doing, i hope my friends will step in and correct me when i am wrong. If I am ever wearing white socks with dress shoes (never) or if I have a sliver of spinach in my teeth, my friends will hopefully tell me. If I was ever being hurtful to someone or something, I would hope my friends would also slap some sense into me and do some kind of intervention to get me straight. What I DO NOT want is for my friends to sit back and agree with when/if I am doing something wrong just because I am famous and everything that I do must seem like the ONLY way and the right way. I am not the pied piper and when I blow my horn, all the rats come out following me like little idiots, throwing $100 to get my 3 cds.
