UK tour question Why are Ticketmaster only selling tickets for the 3rd of October? What about the other shows? Can you buy direct from the venue? If so, does anyone know the number?
Thanks! | |

I asked a ticket agency rep about this.Apparently,it's fairly standard practice 4 a promoter 2 list only the 1st night or 2 of a run where the latter nights r at the weekend but the former r weekday nights. Demand is naturally higher 4 weekend nights,so it makes good sense 2 put the weekday night on sale 1st in order 2 maximise ticket sales 4 it.
Moreover,in this case,as Prince has not toured here 4 FOUR LONG years and has not had a successful single/album during this period, demand at such fairly hefty prices is fairly unpredictable;it's unlikely that either Prince or his promoter will b cocksure about selling out all 3 nights in London(3700 x 3 = 11,100 tix 2 shift!) in under 3 weeks. At present, only the 1st of the 2 nights in Manchester is currently listed on Ticketmaster's website so i wouldn't imagine that this is anything 2 b alarmed about,as they should b guaranteed sell-outs,considering Prince's popularity in both Manchester and especially nearby Birmingham(fans from the central belt of Scotland r also probably more likely 2 opt 4 this option,as it is closer 2 home & reputedly a relatively intimate venue). Good luck with ur ticket hunting! I hope u get tix 4 ur preferred night! | |
