if that's the case, I can understand why... a lot of people keep saying that Prince isn't such a good actor. Me personally, I could care less if he's a good actor or not, seeing his pretty face on screen is all that matters.

To answer the question, yeah, I don't think he cares about having one because it seems a little "egotistical"

thought i read something one time ... if you want a star i think the deal is that they "offer" you the chance ... the gimic is then YOU have to pay for the star ... somethin like 20K ....

anyhoo..to answer the question in order for one to get a star you (or your record company, studio or fan club) pay a fee and the person recieving the star must agree to appear at the ceremony.

so, more then likely the reason why prince hasn't recieved one is because he isn't interested, he has no label or studio interested in paying for one and even if his fan base wanted to do it he probably wouldn't show up...

so folks...there it is...

He knows he's famous, his fans know he is, he doesn't need a star to prove his greatness. This is me getting into Prince's head and I think I'm pretty close.

That defeats the point of it being an 'honour', an honour should be bestowed on someone for their achievements free-of-charge, otherwise celebrities would be buying their own honours and statuettes willy-nilly.

If I was to contribute any cash to honour Prince it would have to be for something unique that does not follow the crowd, such as buying him a 50foot gold statue and placing it in Trafalgar Square...
