I really love the dry, effect free, raw sounding guitar on 'Dirty Mind'

Especially on 'When you were mine' it works terrific i think, making that song sound very 'new-wavish'.

The funny thing is that Prince was using a very cheap stratocaster on that album, but it still sounds fresh and exciting nowadays.

Anyone agrees?

his sound was raw it was rock and funk in the same sound.
i wish he revisit that sound.

but more then that i wish him play when doves cry solo,wendy never could.butthats another topic.
