listening to it on Radio 1 [jesus!!] right now and forgot just how gorgeous and popular it was. It is better than Nothing compare 2u as it celebrates love. It's just wow. Props though to David Z [I think] who arranged and virtually produced the track [correct me if i'm wrong?]

I think David Z was long gone by then, wasn't he (he arranged Kiss)? You may be thinking of Ricky Peterson (ST Paul's bro) who I think did a lot on the song.

As to the song, get's a lot of hate, but although it's commercial, I really enjoy it - love the vocal - a great big spangly pop tune, and none the worse for it. It's obviously no Adore and I'm sorry but it's no NCCTU either, but I'll take it over Satisfied any day.

Like vivid says, it's not the best ballad P's ever written, certainly, but I have a special fondness for this track. nod It was released the same year I became a hardcore fan so - especially in the way it seemed to take over the world at that point - the timing was perfect. Plus, it was Prince's first (and only) No 1 single.

I remember wandering through Virgin and not even realising that this was on release. It was that multi-coloured orgasm cover that grabbed me - then I realised it was Prince! omfg And I didn't even notice that it was Prince's peachy little butt cheeks on the back cover until ages afterwards. giggle And I love the 'Beautiful' remix - those clavinets (??) at the end - so typical of Prince uptempo tracks of the time.

So, yeah, I guess I really like this track. lol

I love the song! It is a very sweet song. I love the remixes of the song too. They played "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" in the 1994 Miss America Pagent. It hit #1 in the Uk.
