Prince and Jeans my question is has Prince ever worn any Jeans in any of his videos? I know it might sound stupid but I was just wondering and thinking if he ever did. Anyway that's all if u wanna answer go right ahead  | |

I think he may have been wearing jeans when he did "4 the tears in your eyes" on that special FARM AIDE or somethin like that in the 80s all they showed was a video of him doin the accustic thing but i'm sure he was wearing jeans... I would Love to see Prince in Jeans . I know he wore a Denim Jacket in Sign O the Times,maybe his own Type of Jean fabric pants. But,it would be Cool to see him wear off the Rack Jeans really tight. | |

Btw,did you know that Prince gave that 'SOTT' jean jacket to one of the girls on the "Cosby Show"? I can't remember which person it was (Vanessa?),but she was a huge Prince fan and asked Bill Cosby to arrange to have Prince come visit the set.Prince was either too busy (or too shy) to come visit,but he had his jacket delivered to the set! | |

prince said in an interview (ca. NPS 1998) that the last time he wore jeans was 1982. i think the fabric is too rough for him. he also had the interviewer touch the hem of his pant leg [presumably 100% italian silk, tho' i don't know if he was into synthetic stuff at that point], and prince asked him, "now if you could wear this everyday, why wouldn't you?"
isn't that funny? actually i think he's telling the truth. there are a few pix of him onstage in the per nilson documentary ca. controversy and you can see he's wearing some sort of heavy denim pants, probably black, with boots and the boots are tapered to the hem of his pants with duct tape! wild! always puttin' on something that another won't wear. prince wore jeans on the mtv music awards in 1987 when he performed sign of the times and play in the sunshine. the pants went with the jacket that was on the cosby show. cat designed the jacket for him when she was nursing a hurt knee. you can't do the splits in form fitting jeans. i guess being a man jumping around the way he does jeans don't seem to be the way to go. i wounder if it causes chaffing. | |
