columbia, universal and next stop ..wb i really wont be shocked and surprised if the next prince is under the warner brothers label hers the reason why
1)warner brothers is under new management and the old "regime" is gone 2)happy feet was under warner brothers and according to him he got along with everyone there.. 3)it would be a win-win deal if he would go with warner they could re-release back catalog with bonus track(similiar to what there doing with the sly and the familystone cds coming out on 3/20) 4)warner would make a big promotional campaign thru aol music,30-60 second spots in radio/tv i think he'll hit talk/variety shows under warner brothers distribution...ellen,the view..etc it would be a smart move if he made this move

i think it would be a wise/good decision to re-release particular albums from his back catalouge at this point in his career. remastered etc..
however, i imagine if he ever struck a deal with WB again, regardless of who's terms it was on - the press would have a field day in any reviews that came out. for instance "Princes latest album 'fuck the fans' see's the pint sized pop pixie, grovel back to old his record label in an attempt to save his flagging career. The eccentric rocker who married his backing dancer on valentines day in a bizarre jehovas witness ceromony once scrawled 'slave' on his face after he spat his dummy out because they wouldnt release his terrible music. After years in the wilderness, and several failed self promoted albums, such as, 'the golden cd', Ponce returns to form on his latest WB release which some are hailing as his best since sign of the times.

Anythings possible. And if a good deal can be worked out to benefit both
parties, then why not. Prince's back catalogue has been languishing in the limbo of this contractural stalemate for too long.

Purely based on personal speculation, I'd put money on Prince recording for WB again at some point.
Like a boomerang that has learnt many things on it's journey.

It would be interesting. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

P was a little more.. flamboyant shall we say in expressing his point of view too.
