WHAT $250.00? Saw the man in November on opening night WOW! Decided I would like to see him again before he leaves Rio. Been working extra hours to make this happen.Just went to ticketmaster only to discover the tickets are now $250.00. This kinda bums me out. . What do you all think about this new price? I know he is worth it cause I have seen the show but are these prices really necessary? I am also an NPG member and thought maybe we would get some kind of special treatment but not so.

I'm personally very disappointed. Especially as the tickets for these shows initially went on sale for $125. Remember the Paisley Park parties in the 90s for $7?

here's to hoping Prince never has a hit recored again!! I agree. I liked him better before 2004. At least he was more accessible to fans and you could see him for a reasonable price. In a way, I think he has forgotten about the fans and admirers that's gotten him back to where he is today.

I don't necessarily have a problem with $250 price---I have an issue with the fact that for the past 4 months tickets have cost $125 and then within a few days of going on sale for March they doubled, without warning, to $250. That makes it difficult to budget and save for a trip when the prices change arbitrarily. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Its' a shame. I was really toying with the idea of going once I found out about the March dates. The cost of airfare, hotel stay, food, taxi fare, and the tickets would have used up my entire tax refund, but I was willing to do it. Now it's just too much, and I don't agree with raising the prices at the last minute like this.
If they would have been $250 all along, I would have chalked it up to the high prices for entertainment in Vegas, and never considered going in the first place. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

It may have something to do with February's events up until the Image Awards.
one thing i can say .. i've had the greatest pleasure of watching this man perform on my birthday this year and last year.... which were Feb 4, one was the SuperBowl and the other SNL and both live..

well....the only thing i can say is that yes, fans have attended the shows but they don't even make up ten percent of the audience.....the rest of the audience has been Purple Rain types or Vegas types that are just in town to blow some money, get drunk and hope Prince plays his hits
when he jacks the price up, i think it has more to do with the audience here in Vegas than anything else that and maybe he is making up for the fact that the Jazz Cuisine has not done very well.....i have eaten there 4 times and it was never crowded and a few of the times it was so uncrowded that it was slightly uncomfortable....with like 20 waitstaff standing around with nothing to do, etc. unfortunately the new price has made my decision not to go to anymore shows very easy

Interesting. I guess this adds more fuel to the rumour that this will be his last month at 3121 Vegas. Almost like they're trying to make a last minute grab-for-cash because they know he won't be there much longer. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

i paid $250 for a nosebleed seat in 1993 to see him during the act one tour because he said it would be the last time he ever toured in the united states.
