Does anyone see the irony in the comment about leaving lawyers out of it considering he routinely likes to use them for going after fansites? i was thinking he meant or wishes the art of real music to fall back in the hands of the musicians rather than the accountants and lawyers pushing the type of music or operation that would only make a quick buck for them instead of allowing the artists to develop artistically. with the fansites he uses the lawyers to ensure that he keeps control over his image or music, wherever he legally can. i don't know...i could be waaaay off. i agree. i am sure that is what he meant, but he just doesn't get that the fansites are promoting the music, hence allowing him to make more money, not selling it and keeping the profits from him. | |
