Prince: Bluesman Part II Anyone know what John Mayer or Johnny Lang think of Prince?
Mayer is the latest to be annointed a "Guitar Hero" by Rolling Stone. He may actually deserve it as long as he doesn't sing about bodies being wonderlands. But I'm curious as to what these younger players think of the Kid. http://www.femalefirst.co...-1671.html Some people tell me I've got great legs...

Johnny Lang presumably has an appreciation of Prince having recorded one of his songs and reportedly attended the Rave Un2 the Year 2000 show (although not taking the invitation to come on stage).
. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

. I always thought that johnny was the guy who comes and sings after prince invites him to "come up and get some". I never knew until yesterday that he is actually a white guy. Who was the guy singing then? y'know the "u better get yo piece in" guy?

I love Johnny Lang. His voice has grown so much. I can imagine him playing with Prince. It's too bad he didn't get on stage during the Rave concert, even after Prince told him to come up. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

bobby z produced some tracks off of Johnny Lang's "Wander this World" CD. I highly recommend JL's latest CD, whose title eludes me...

you might want to get "Try" by the John Mayer Trio
it is live pre-cursor too the studio album "Continuum" which I think was released last year. It's got bad mother Pino Palladino on Bass Guitar and Steve Jordan on the Drums. I also like "lie to Me" by J.Lang, it had a certain charm. the album was a bit of the sameness I felt though. as for what they think of Prince? if they're smart we know the answer.
