What is the ONE Prince song we can all agree on? I think it's 7. Maybe When Doves Cry, maybe Gett Off, but probably 7. 7 is the one song that even the Prince haters like. | |

We "all" agree on? You mean fans and non-fans? Hmmm... probably "Little Red Corvette" -- it seems to be the one song that non-fans will say, "I don't like Prince, but I do like Little Red Corvette." Of course this applies to the almost 30 and over group, I guess. | |

This has got to be the one. Or at least ONE OF the ones. If "we" means serious Prince fans and not those who are bandwagoners. I've never seen/heard one person that loves Prince's music say they don't like "Anna Stesia." But had it received saturated airplay like some of Prince's 80s singles it wouldn't be one of the ones. Another one that I can never find anyone to dislike is "Lady Cab Driver." Sorry for those who don't particularly like the song (if you're out there), but if you don't like "Lady Cab Driver," you're not a Prince fan. That's right, I said it! 
Another one is "Joy In Repetition"... I think you can always find a serious Prince fan that doesn't necessarily dislike one of his big hits - but at the same time being able to take it or leave it. Hearing it all the time over the years can make certain people jaded about it. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |

Not a big fan of "7". I kind of like the acoustic remix a little.

'Little Red Corvette', 'Raspberry Beret', 'Kiss' and 'Cream' are the first ones that spring to mind. Popular appeal across the board. And if we can't agree on 'arms of Orion', then surely we can reach the conclusion that 'Scadalous' and 'Insatiable' are both utter toilet. | |
