Only for the very best seats. There also are cheaper seats. Check www.ticketmaster.co.uk

The "Premimum" tickets are £60 at Manchester would love to know if that includes soundcheck+aftershow. Can somebody call ticketmaster for me, I'm at work!

Cheers

I appreciate the NPGMC is a business and wants to make as much $ as possible (who wouldn't?) but I hope they don't charge an excessive amount for these tickets.

It does seem a bit bizarre to pay $100 to join the club, THEN have to pay the highest price for premier seating. Okay, we get to see him up close AND get a soundcheck, but surely we should not be expected to pay any more than the standard price or (whisper it) a bit lower? In effect we're being charged twice.

Having said that, tomorrow I'll be eating my words and clicking that mouse faster than anything!

I can't WAIT for this!

and I thought someone might remember how much they were for the first lot of ONE NIGHT ONLY shows,
so get over it!!

Most probably tickets including the soundcheck+possible afterhow can only be bought through the NPGMC. You have to be a member to get these tickets. At least that's how they proceeded in the USA, and I guess it won't be any different here.

Jon

non members will not be allowed to purchase the premium tickets that get you into the soundcheck etc... Thats one of the biggest selling points to the club I guess.

If non members also get that priviledge then whats the point in forking out 100 bucks a year for? For one piano demo and a triple live album? 100 bucks?

Ticketmaster is also gonna sell premium tickets, but I think they are tickets with premium seating BEHIND the members seating. Either that or they have a way of verifying our memberships. Besides, they go on sale on the general release date. Club tickets go on sale tomorrow.

Who knows what price the tickets will be to members though. Could be 65. Could be less. But dont be shocked if theyre even more!... Anything for an extra buck this man of ours!

That's exactly my point, Jon. The whole point of joining is to get priveleges over non-members. NOT to pay to $100 to join, then pay even MORE to get better seating.

Surely Members should be charged exactly the same ticket price - or lower smile - but with the added advantage of better seating? It seems that non-members are going to pay less for their tickets, but end up seated only marginally behind us. What's the point of that???!

Okay, we get the soundcheck, etc., but I still think it;s a bit bizarre. The non-members should be paying more to get access to the premier seating.

As I said earlier, though, tomorrow I'll be SUCH a hypocrite!

for most of the US shows, the tickets were $100 a pop, or higher - in all cases they were the highest price also being offered to the public. that's of course in addition to the $100 paid to join the club. pricey as SHIT...but ultimately worth it (in my princefaggy opinion).

Okay, we get the soundcheckquote]

I don't think Prince turning up for a soundcheck session is a definite thing. Basically, as you've correctly pointed out already, if members are paying $100 to be part of a premium club then it makes very little sense to have these very same members not receive some incentive in terms of being able to purchase the best seats at lower prices. The NPGMC cannot last for a long time if it continues to operate this way, people are already dissatisfied and basically it goes against Prince's artistry - to promise a certain number of CDs a year is not artistry, it's business. And we all know that Prince is not a businessman.
