Reflections - One Nite Alone Concert Okay, US/Canadian fans, now you've had time to reflect on your One Nite Alone experiences, I want to hear what you make of it (your verdict) in terms of audience enjoyment.
I ask for two reasons. Firstly, to give us UK folk something to get excited about (hopefully) and secondly, I'm thinking of taking a girlfriend of mine that doesn't know much at all about Prince or his music. Will she enjoy it?? I'd like your insights, thoughts please. [This message was edited Thu Sep 12 6:55:39 PDT 2002 by Anji]

It's the intimate Prince experience that you probably never could have imagined before this tour started. There is nothing like seeing him in a small venue with decent acoustics. DO NOT MISS.

It was a great change of pace from his last few tours where he was lazily rolling through hits. This show felt more personal not only due to the small venues, but mainly because of the set list. It sounded like he put together a group of songs HE felt like playing, not necesarily what the people wanted him to play.
I love seeing him perform songs like Purple Rain and 1999, but if he's insanely bored with the song, the performance suffers tremendously. Curiously though, the performances were very very tight, and not as spontaneous as you would imaging a tour entitled "one night alone". Still, I definitely rate it as one of the best and most unique tours of his that Ive been to so far. [This message was edited Thu Sep 12 10:25:09 PDT 2002 by Tom]

My first experiance of ONA was through the Celebration in MN. The most rememberable moment was Joy In Repatition. I still get chills when I reflect on that joint. I also took my husband who's not a Prince freak like me, but he walked away just as amazed as I. Prince is tooo fine, lookin good at his age!!

The concert I saw on june 15 at Massey Hall just blew my mind. It was the 3rd. time I had since Prince in concert and it was the absolute best. I loved the stripped down band and the piano medley. His falsetto voice was so beautiful. I would have to say it was the best concert I've ever been to and at 39 I've seen my fair share of concerts. It was well worth the $300 for my husband and I to go. We had great seats and we were both 100% satisfied.

For me in NYC, it was a life altering experience. _______________________________________________

I like what Tom said.
It was nice to see him on a small venue with good sound. Made the whole thing seem more intimate and special - like you were in on something that no one else knew about. 2nd row seats didn't hurt either. It was wonderful, and the aftershow (as usual) blew the roof off.

It was the concert I've been waiting years for him to do.
The aftershows were off the hook as well. (Hollywood). Boy made me proud up there... cracknbush

Oh yeah. I think it was the best concerts I've been to.
5 rows from the stage, soundcheck and aftershows. Can't beat that. 12 hours of music in two days. cracknbush
