When I see artists like Britney, or how the late great artists like Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix chose another road to "seek comfort", really makes me applaud Prince for choosing a spiritual road instead or it would have been disastrous had he chose to go in the other direction as Janis and Jimi who were great artists and a big loss to the music world. Be a bit grown up. Yes. Encore. Guitar was total dreck. It was $1.99 worth of pure craptacular entertainment. But, you can't give up on Prince because of one song or even because of one trend in his music. This is Prince. Anything is possible with this man. One minute you're downloading guitar and saying WTF? The next, you're watching the Superbowl and crankin up Best of You. At this stage of the game, Prince can pretty much do whatever he wants to do. It's interesting to see how his marriage of pop and art, commerce and creed, sex and god, white and black, and every other dichotomy out there, how it all plays out. Even when it's train-wreck Prince, it's still fascinating. And when the brother is on....there IS nothing better.

I agree, I think we are like the same branch of music from His tree.
The last CD that really captured my attention was One Nite Alone. Ever since then I have to pick and choose what I like. So, Yeah it used to be the other way around I would have to pick a choose what I didn't like. I think this is point for me, i used to be able to buy a prince album and pretty much every track on there was a winner, sometimes there was the odd dog, like 'positivty' on lovesexy, but on the whole I could hit play at the beginning and leave the Cd running. Now it's a case of skip, skip, skip, skip, eject. insert, Ah... stevie wonder, innervisions.... I can't recall a recent track of prince's which I think has inspired me the way say 'joy in repitition' did / does. And why am i announcing it, well hell why does anybody say anything, becuase I can. Yes Joy In Repetition is a great song, but taking your whole point into consideration: Why pick a song from what many feel to be a weaker album on the whole? Do you find Grafitti Bridge to be a good or great albunm? It's fine if you do, everyone has their own opinion and that is what makes music great! Not bagging on you, just wondering. Not one song on his recent albums have you liked? If u and I were just ten feet closer, then I'd make u understand
