I've been a fan my whole life. Prince is at the top of my "artists to see in concert before I die" list. BUT..I guess 3121 is 21+.

I'm 20 and that sucks! I was suppose to see him with Tamar, but I didn't hear about the concert until tickets were sold out.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else my age loves Prince as much as I do. I've meet only two people in my area who come close.

I haven't really talked about Prince openly with any of my college friends. Actually, we only really talk about school or in the case of my animé club, animé. I don't know why, but then again, I'm not exactly the world's most outgoing person anyway.

Anyway, it's cool to know there's someone else close to my age on here. I still feel like such a newbie fan just because there's still a lot I don't know and a lot of his songs that I haven't heard. I've barely scratch the surface (but come to think of it, if I listened to all of his CD's, that still wouldnt scratch the surface). It's funny, though because early on, I could pick up the kind of person that Prince is through his music, but seeing him in live interviews... phew, it always blows me away, he's like two different people.

After the SuperBowl, I went from now-and-then fan to 24/7 Prince fan, so one of my ultimate goals has become, like yours, seeing Prince in concert. That'd be such an awesome experience because the guy writes his own stuff, has a great voice, know how to put on a show and plays guitar better than anyone I know. He truly is in a class by himself and gives a new definition of "musician"

GMA was really good, but Amerian Idol took me by surprise. I heard that there were negotiations going on whether or not he cameos on it, but that was towards the beginning of the finals when they'd have a guest singing b4 the results. I forgot all about that and then... BAM, no introduction, he just takes the stage and owns it... that's so like him.

I feel bad cuz I've been looking for articles that talk about after the finals and Simon said how rude Prince was for going on unannounced and left w/o a word. I wanted to see that in quotes, but I started looking for the article too late. heh

After the SuperBowl, the rest was history, I was a full-blown 24/7 fan

Thanx, that's the exact article I remember reading before. I don't think it was that Simon "hates" Prince, he just thought the way he came and went was just rude... but as Prince fans, we let him get away with it cuz it's part of his style. No, he called him "selfish"... but I think that he had other things in mind that night. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure if Prince was really a big fan of the show, so that's why he insisted on going it alone (well, except for "the twins"), plus compared to him, the finalists look unprofessional... okay a lot of people look unprofessional compared to Prince, but that's hardly the point.

Prince has his reasons and I respect that. I just find it funny how Simon took it. Now that Housequake is back up, if I'm really in the mood for it, I'll have the clip there to watch again for the first time since last May.

I'm 18, and I've been a Prince fan for abt 6-7 years, but i joined the org abt a year ago. I remember when I was younger I heard "When Doves Cry" on the radio, and I was hooked cause I immediately connected with the song. They first time I saw a picture of him I was really surprised.

Alot of ppl my age don't know Prince or if they do they'll say "oh, the short gay singer?". I guess they just don't know real music.

I hope he goes on tour that way there's a chance of seeing him perform. I really wanted to go to 3121..... I really want some of the insence- I heard it smells great... lmao. anyone have extras?
