I wonder if Prince has any idea. I wonder if the man knows how many heated debates he causes on this website. Or N general...
I wonder what he would say. I wonder if he would even care. 
It's really the most hottest topic I've seen people get heated up over N awhile that was worth it. I mean, Prince is a human being but, how can I say this without sounding retarded, people talk about him like he's...just above it all.
& WHAT I MEAN BY THAT IS:some people R fierce defenders of anything & everything he does (like MOI) & some are like "F*ck Prince". So there is DEEP regard of his feelings & actions & there is BLUNT disregard...like it just dont matter either way! The ones who are like "F*ck Prince",are surprisingly sometimes his oldest fans also! Is it because they've been on the ride with him longer than the newbies like me? I only been a fan of his for 8 years & dont get me wrong he has definetly done some things 2 piss me off & not want 2 ever listen 2 him again but Im a true sucka 4 him & his music & he won. My eye-doll he is

I agree with u.Aye, he knows about all the 'controversy'(no pun intended)that he creates, not only within fans, but music critics, and the general public.But he must be in one of the lone group of artists who's fans are VERY devoted.I think he did reach a point in his career(round about 93/94), where he had reached such dizzy heights, and everything wasn't going to plan, and he HAD to become more approachable-the 80's secluded megastar thing just wasn't working anymore.Prince's fans -on the whole-have been AMAZINGLY supportive of the career(and name)changes and choices..
And I agree too , that there have been times when I have been REALLY pissed with him, or felt cheated by him-but I'm still here, still appreciating his gift, and am just thankful that he is who he is, and he does what he does. All hail 2 the new king... | |

Prince is the bomb diggity. He is cause for an introductory class in higher learning. His repetoire spans so much in muisc. The church, gospel, rock, pop, avante gaurd etc. The lyrics, the changes, the image. One day someone will do a full on litarary scholastic endeavor on Prince that is mass recognized. But to be honest..a lot of the debate isnt about Prince at all. It is about the ego of the debaters etc. One day people will put their ego aside to really get into the essence of discussion of Prince. But in general off of this site, there really isnt any debate. I want him 2 c this.There is a little notice on NPGMC site saying-Don't send email to Prince at this site, as he wont get it.I reckon everynow and then he has a quick scan to see whats going on, and what folks r saying.And if you simply put in the words PRINCE onto a search, surely this site must come up pretty quickly-cool 2 think he was reading what we say.I dunno tho. | |

I am sure prince checks out the sight from time to time. I also think that he knows who he is so the opinion of others probaly doesn't matter.
The so call debates on this sight is really about the debater, I have read comments from some that take the opposite stance when it suits them. I also read how the comments are directed at his music, in the song Radical man 2045 he says: How can a non-musician make any decision or comments on anything other than from a consumers point of view. Well thats what I read here. Non musicains commenting on what is a demo, what is weak, what is no effort on his part, what is crap etc. its not a debate, it is just opinion. and those who agree come on strongly and those who don't just kind of say what ever. The only thing that is reliable is that Prince has been and is still making music that he is pleased with. And if he is pleased then I am pleased. How you gonna get my back when you fronting. | |
