universal is only lookin out for interest of Prince i think they just did a google search and found the stuff there!! But if prince or his staff let HQ and the universal know then its possible to see these things back on plus its so easy to google and find stuff all over the net!! I mean i have HD version of the superbowl on my PDA i can play it anytime and the sound is nice too its only a 30MB file |

He's lucky to have such a company behind him and we can only assume that he's happy with them since he hasn't been complaining about them not allowing him "creative freedom". had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It is still unclear whether Prince directed them to Housequake or they stumbled across the page themselves and find the videos. But I got the feeling it was the latter since Universal had a tracking record of threating to sue other sites like Myspace and Youtube for having unauthorized videos. The reason why SO many people from all over the Princeland thought it was his doing because of his history of going after sites himself (meaning his lawyers). Someone had told me too that HQ agreed with Prince and his staff to allow the videos be available only by stream not downloadable so that explained why the videos were up for awhile. I hope that they are going to get this straighten out soon because Prince been signed with Universal for awhile, and it is kind of strange they are taking action now and it is hard to believe that they wasn't recently aware of Housequake and the videos. I think that having that very popular Super Bowl performance must have made them forced some action. [Edited 2/15/07 16:42pm] | |

Housequake did change the format so that you couldn't save the videos, only see them streamed, in that sense they only way they were giving them away was via the mind, perhaps the Paisley Police will sue us for having illegal images in our mind next! i've saved a about 50 videos from Housequake. it's a shame. | |

As I asked on HQ, does Prince have a new master? Does Universal "own" him. What claim would they have to all that old material that was recorded before he ever hooked up with them? This doesn't make sense. Oh just a little something called a 5 year Publishing deal that included collecting royalties owed to Prince for ALL of his past work. O.K., that's the past work. Although, by the sound of it, Prince may have had nothing to do with it. It's very dissapointing, but it would be worse if the instructions came from him IMO. Anyhoot, he could still have been involved for all we know but I'll just live in ignorance-is-bliss-ville for now. (I didn't effect me in the short term because I havent been able to access HQ for the last week or so because of some 403 Forbidden crap, which has nothing do with being banned, btw....so if any IT experts out there know how to repair this, drop me a line).
