Prince & MJ Collabo

As yall already know, back in '87, Mchael Jackson and Prince were supposed to do a collabo on the song "Bad" for Mike's "Bad " album, but it didn't happen. Do yall think they should do a collabo now? Imagine Prince and MJ on a track together. The two greatest singers ever on a track together! It would go off tha chain!

What do yall think?

Do you think Payton Manning should leave the Colts and play football for the local High School football team?

And neither should Prince do a song/album/project with Michael Jackson.

What somebody should do is to fire up the Delorean and bring your ass out of 1985 and back to the future that we call 2007.

Well, I figured that 2 of the most talented people on this planet working 2gether would be the best. I'm not trying to say that they should redo "Bad" or anything, but just come up with something totally new, together, like, right now.

Please don't yell at me.

For the life of me, I have never understood this comparison - or desire to see them together. They are very differnt personally, musically, etc...

Prince is a musician, singer, song writer, performer. MJ is a singer / performer - that's it. No doubt there is "something" about him that people connect with - you cannot deny his (former) popularity, but that was never tied to his musicianship.

Let's face it, they are compared due to being popular at the same time, black, and not masculine - all surface level stuff. Nothing to do with how they sound or how skilled they are.

Let's throw in Terence Trent D'Arby, L'Debarge, and any other skinny black guy we can think of and complete the sterotype.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

lol

I've seen some magical performances by MJ (mainly his Billie Jean performances), but I'm not much of a fan.

Prince is in a different category, and I just don't see it working. The thought actually grosses me out.

Hey. This is why I never asked the question because I knew it would start the freaking Apocolypse. LOL.

It's something that I'd like to see, but they're styles are so different I have no clue what they'd sing about. It'd be like that shit Nelly did with the country dude. It'd be weird and leave fans of both men out in the cold wondering what the hell happened.

I think the men should stay apart and should they pass each other in the street, turn thier heads and pretend not to see each other.

Though I'd be in the middle of the street screaming at both of them. lol

Only if they would get a time machine and go back to when Off The Wall came out...the MJ of that time could make it work, IMO. The MJ of now...nah.

Agreed - if it would've happened around 1999/Purple Rain/Thriller it would've been HUGE!

Now though, no way. MJ is a has-been, sadly due to factors that are NOT music-related. Prince is carefully staging a comeback, at least in the public eye, and honestly he doesn't need a collaboration with MJ. Probably wouldn't want one either.

I would have loved to have seen the magic that would have come from these 2. I often thought P should have let Mike sing Dance Electric, something like that.

While all of yall are putting this down, what if they do it anywayz and shock the shit out of everyone and it's like the best thing eva? Yes, Prince is absolutely and undisputedly talented, but Michael aint no slacker either! Someone earlier said that Prince is a musician/singer/dancer/performer/and songwriter. Well, shit, so is Michael! Just cuz of all this shit goin' on in his life everybody wants to forget who the hell Mike really is! Mike is extremely fucking talented and should not be shunned just cuz he's crazy as hell. Prince is super-talented too and NOBODY can ever deny that, but he's got a couple of screws loose too! I love the hell outta Prince. Also even though Prince and Michael are very different ppl, sometimes opposites make a good ass combination. Totally Unique & Totally Unique can make some crazy ass, bomb ass stuff together. Yall never know. Yes, they are very different, but if you look even closer, they are also kinda similar too.

Well, whatever! Everybody's got their own opinion. Fuck it!
