There won't be any apologies coming this time. BTW, I'm curious...did you personally find it offensive? uh, no I did not find it offensive. P has had that guitar since Gold came out in 95'. Stand Up! i missed the commercial, but i did see prince perform.
i thought he was awesome as always, but i gave him even more props for performing in the rain like it was nothing. i didnt read all of this thread, but it looks like foks have been going back and forth since page one and for what? maybe he just appreciated the fans being there. i'm sure being in the rain was uncomfortable. again i didnt see it, but i doubt there is a hidden agenda. and if he is trying to pub up a new album, good! i'd like to hear some new stuff for him. And a thank you to Prince for putting together a great performance and in the rain at that Yes,I caught the commerical and I know how much he does appreciate his fans.At a celebration the air conditioning went out and I think Prince must have apologized to his fans atleast 10 times, he even rented out a movie theater in Chanhassen so we could go somewhere and cool off as well enjoying a movie since he planned to have a all nighter at Paisley.Yes Prince is so .

Kinda took me back to last week standing in the rain. As much as I despise getting wet, it was an incredible night. Of course I could push it and ask him to do a big ol' party at Paisley Park this year! While we were standing in line in Vegas, this lady walks up with a voucher that entitled her to two free tickets for the night if the concert was not sold out by 9 p.m. The fact that I shelled out 1500 bucks to be there to be witness to that kinda pissed me off. Along with other stuff about that night that pissed me off but it's Prince. I guess I should be used to however he wants to treat people by now. same thing happened in seattle when he played here. It was done to maintain the "sold out" status of his tour, they gave away tickets for a quarter. not fair but i'd rather have paid and made sure i got in than risk something like that.

Oh my goodness! I'm from Seattle, and paid big bucks (well, to a college student anyway) to see him! The show sold out in minutes! Oh well, it was worth every penny. I can't believe it, but I actually taped the commercial by accident! I got home in time to see the last 20 minutes of the Grammys, but I was too tired to watch. I just hit record on the VCR, and went to bed. When I was watching what little I had recorded, the commercial was in the first 5 minutes! Good thing too, because nothing after it was very exciting. I did miss his mini-appearance tho, and now it's too late to see it on HQ. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

Yeah, that's what happened alright. We're musicians though Rani, that makes a difference, we do more than get entertained, we draw influence and inspiration. So the money factor is not important to me at least. (Everyone go to Rani's myspace, she's a damn fine singer).

And actually, I've done the same the same thing. When Bruce Springsteen was here, I had nothing, one of my buddies paid 3 dollars a piece for tickets, they were scalpers though, not the artist himself. Bruce could hardly half fill the tacoma dome so they were practically giving away the tickets. Prince has some faithful fans, you must say. The Seattle center was pretty packed. Both nights. And our man didn't dissapoint, I got teary eyed when he did the acoustic version of Little Red Corvette and loved his little Men/Women diatribe which earned him some criticism from a female reviewer the next day. He seemed to be natural and accessible, unlike the Prince of years ago.

I did more than watch a concert that night, I was reminded why I was doing my music to begin with. Prince has such a way of inspiring me. So, in response to Prince's thank you commercial, "No, thank you Prince!" Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com
