hi, y'all - this is my first post, i've been a lurker here for years...former member of the npg club blah blah...
and as much as i love this man, and have been a fan since he showed up in 1977 and how he's grown up (he's a few years older than me, i'm 43) he's not seemed to have grown much emotionally, regarding women...he just runs through them like hand towels. i mean we all have our phases and i'm just glad mine were never THIS public, but there is a certain time when you look at all the available tail comin' atcha and go...'same shit - different day' and you grow the hell up. lolol - i have to wonder, doesn't he just plain get bored looking at the same girl over an over an over, cuz if ya look not even too closely, they are all the same chick. and i wonder - dude...are you stuck at age 28 or what? i realize for many powerful men this is normal, but i also thinks it demonstrates a glaring lack of emotional maturity. not that that matters much...but anyways... i used to dream about what it would be like to 'have a shot at it' - but as much as i love him musically and will continue to... meh. the apparent lack of a certain emotional maturity has dented his sexual attractiveness to me, at least. i can't see him being able to handle or be attracted to a woman with her own success and sense of self...kind of disappointing in that regard...penelope cruz needs the press - she'll show up with anyone that will get her name in the paper. he still looks hot as hell though... However, I disagree. Why is it sad if he doesn't have a wife and children? There are many people who are single and without children who are very happy, just as there are many people who are married with children who are very unhappy. If marriage, family and children are what make you happy then cool. But realize that we are not all cut from the same fabric. Too often society force feeds us the notion that we should all want the same things and that is not the case. Marriage and children are not the zenith of everyone's existence.
