I've read more than one thread on here with orgers not diggin' Prince constantly wearin' shades. Personally, sometimes I like 'em and sometimes I don't understand em. Of course, I feel the same way about anyone I see wearing shades at night. Who are you hiding from, it's dark out so they probably wouldn't recognize you anyway. But, I do love a good pair of hata blockas. In fact, everytime I see people who wear sunglasses at night, the song of the same name pops into my head...damn, how I love that song. Anyway, what is everyone's thoughts on Prince almost always wearing shades and if you don't have an opinion, than feel free to post a pic of Prince sportin his hata blockas.

Don't know why that man insists on covering up those beautiful eyes with those huge ass shades. Now, if he had R. Kelly's eyes, then I could understand.

I loved that Kurt Loder Interview with Prince on MTV in 1999. He wore shades the entire interview.... Yeah, I wasn't feelin the shades at the Grammys; but I did love that white suit.

He does have alot of wrinkles now, but when I saw him perform during the 2004 concert, he wasn't wearing any shades and when he smiled it was wrinkle city, so I think the shades actually hid a couple of the wrinkles...probably explains why those shades are always ginormous. But, I think his wrinkles are kinda cute.

My guess is that he just performed two 3121 concerts Fri/Sat, and then jammed till 5:00am both nights....probably didn't sleep much at all on Sunday...hopped on a plane and showed up at the Awards! He probably felt he didn't look his best....hence the shades!

(Jack Nicholson always wears shades to awards shows- and he wears those tired RayBan-looking things.)

I love him with his "hata blockas" (I'm so going to be using that phrase from now on!) and I love him without his "hata blockas". I just love him so all's good with me!

I prefer to see his eyes. But the shades weren't that bad. These are the same ones he had on at the Grammys right?

Maybe the light bothers his eyes at night which happens a lot to people over 40.

They keep people's energies(negative or hostile) and rays from bombarding you. They stare and you feel like you're under a microscope and vulnerable....very uncomfortable.

I don't shades fit him bcuz the shape of his face is like oval or something like this so he needs something more suitable
