New religious beliefs?

So at my job, my friend, a massage therapist was there and was talking about how he had a chance to work at the superbowl under a tent and blah blah blah, eventually he got to talking about this spa he works in at the Hard Rock and how some one he knows there said she got in the same elevator as Prince and how he completely ignored her and looked straight ahead as she was trying to say hi.

He also said to me how at the spa, when some girls asked Prince for an autograph, he refused (which i coolly explained "Prince doesnt do autographs") then said to the girls "If I did that then you guys would want to worship it and you shouldnt want to worship me. You should go and worship Buddha!!!!!"

I was like whofarted "Wha???? He's a JW!!!!" My friend goes "I know, i wonder why he said Buddha?"

I wonder he meant it as a joke or if he's changed his point of view? wink

It's probably true. I've accepted third-person accounts as fact now.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Well, the reason why I kinda belive it is because this guy just started talking about it to me not realizing how much of a fan I was and this is the 3rd time I heard something like this. The other 2 times were from very realiable sources who were working around him setting up for his performances.

Snap

Prince does have a rep for talking under his breath and kind of mumbling. I wouldn't give much weight to what other people said they heard him say.

Buddha and Jehovah both end in "AHHHHH"

And it's probably a coded message for the letter "A", so he was saying we should worship Alphabet Street.

Put the right letters together and make a better day.

Puh-leeze... Prince's lyrics, performances and appearances are all about his being worshipped.

coolcat

lol The funny thing is the Buddha doesn't want to be worshipped... He wants people to be "a light unto themselves" rather than depend on someone else...

confused

It was clearly an off the cuff remark to go worship someone else more fitting than him (regardless of the poor example given), and not a suggestion of faith.

Buddha...well, let's not 4get Shiva...Don't 4get 2 that there is more than one Buddha. 4 instance, Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. Milarepa Buddha is real also. Yet, all the Buddhas are one 2.
