Would One Funk Jam been out of place for Prince to Play at the Super Bowl?

What kinda of Funk is that?

Funk is Head(even if he couldnt do the lyrics a snippet of the music would have been funky, Lady Cab Driver, DMSR (another lyric change, but again funky music), Billy Jack B, Sexy Dancer, Feel U Up, Erotic City, 3121, etc. etc.

I think you;re forgetting that he wasn't performing for you or indeed the fans...he was performing to a world-wide audience who would have had no interest whatsoever in a lenghty funk-jam.

He did what he needed to do, and that was put on an amazing show to get people talking.

Job done in my book.

If he had thrown in the live rendition of the beat of Black Sweat as a break between two of the numbers it would have sounded cool, with the marching band doing huge mother popcorn hits, with no singing of it, just a bit of playing with the twins.

twood ev bin kool.
