The performance at the Brits with Wendy and Lisa of course. Much better than the Superbowl performance.

My Top 5 smile

1. Face Down on the 'Chris Rock Show'
2. Pussy Control on the VH1 Fashion Awards
3. Muppets Show
4. Fury on SNL
5. Electric Chair on SNL

The Superbowl would probably be like 6 or 7 for me

You know that 2 of those were lipsynched, though, right? Not to say the performances themselves weren't great, they just weren't live. P Control may have used pre-recorded music too - I forget.

Which 2? hmm

If you will, so will I

Wow, great post. So many good choices. I was at Leno when he did "Ballad of Dorthy of Parker," so that would be my #1. The fact that he did that song just blew me away, and John Blackwell's drum solo was insane.

I was also at Leno for "The Everlasting Now" -- that was just ok.

And, lastly, I was at "Today" for "Dinner With Delores" and "Zannalee." I was right up close, and it was the first time I had ever even been to see him. Performance was good, the songs ... eh.

As for performances I wasn't at ( biggrin ) -- SOTT at the VMAs and Partyup on SNL would be at the top.

Face Down was lipsynched to an edited version of the Jan. 11th, 1997 live track from New York (available on the NYC casette for $20 from 1-800-NEW-FUNK at the time).

The Muppets performances were all lip-synched - the studio version of She Gave Her Angels was used, and other updated re-recorded versions of songs were used also (I forget what else was on there - Raspberry Sorbet and Starfish And Coffee '95, right?).
