Prince Will Be King After the Super Bowl and after The Grammys

After reading posts about Timbaland's thoughts on Prince on the Donnie Simpson morning radio show and people's reactions to his "diss", Prince should not make any obvious and subtle digs at Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. If Prince gives a performance worthy of his legendary career ('04 Grammys with Beyonce/04 Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame/etc), Timberlake and Timbaland will be old editions of a newspaper people don't read anymore. Prince is no stranger to feuds with other celebrities. For P you have seen it, lived it and did it. You've had your run like Timberland and Justin is having now, but you're approaching 30 years in the business. Take pride in your longvity. Who would have thought after having a roller coaster career, many ups and downs, after being counted out time and time again, that you would have the opportunities afforded to you that most artists don't get after being in the industry for 15 years.

The promotional and financial rewards from putting on a memorable and buzz-creating performance is priceless. The Grammys is a week from now. Imagine showing up to the Grammys as only you can, regal and dapper, accepting what hopefully will be many awards for your record and accepting those awards, while the industry pays respect to you.

Lastly, as you have pointed out many times with your past battles with the industry, many African American artists past and present have been exploited, left for dead by the industry. In the wake cheated out of royalties, and their rightful place in history. You are one of the few African American musicians who has risen from the ashes from those travesties, and in a way represent dreams shattered and never realized. Sunday, history will be made by having 2 African American head coaches leading their teams on the field, fittingly during Black History month, but another chapter needs to be added to the latest edition of the career of Prince.
