I showed these photos to my boyfriend last night, and agreed that I would have lusted after that adorable ass of his! Talk about high school crushes: Here's a picture of my JUNIOR high school crush, on the left. Mind you, this was 1976, TWO YEARS before Prince released "Soft and Wet". He coulda been Prince's brother with processed 70's hair. 
So, fallin' in love with Prince was *easy* two years later!

These are fantastic pictures, and a real treat considering they were from before he even released his first album. Funny - I was listening to White Mansion from Emancipation the other day and thinking about this pre-fame part of Prince's life. He probably had no idea how his life would change over the next 30 years...
I would absolutely love Prince to grow an afro again now. He's been through so many styles - time to go back to the beginning... | |
