Does anybody have and Pet Peeves, that annoy you ?
Basically when you mention PRINCE and someone ays, something dumb.
Two things I hate most is 'He's gay' or 'he looks like a girl'.
I know it's not that serious.
But to hear it everytime I mention Prince is just plain out annoying.

"Prince? His skin is getting lighter just like Michael Jackson's"

"Prince? Didn't he have a rib removed so he could you-know-what?"

"Prince? Yeah, he's cool... but what's his real name?"

I hate it when people joke about his boot heels.It's never funny and I just don't like it.

I have 2:
- "U mean 'The Artist Formerly Known as Prince'." (No, I meant Prince. That's what I said! )

- He's still around?

Although Fred Armisen is funny and Prince seems to think so too, I can't stand when people make the Fred Armisen/Prince face, or any face that's supposed to look like Prince but really only winds up looking like Garth from Wayne's World.

When the press talks about his height, calling him diminutive and vertically challenged, anything little when to me he's proven himself to be bigger than any man I know

On the way to work, I thought of another one-
The color purple. I can't stand when I wear it, and some idiot says, "You're wearing that because of Prince, right?" Or something is purple and some jerk starts singing "Purple Rain" or makes a Prince wisecrack.
That was over 20 years ago! Let it go!

On the red carpet on the Golden Globes, Jay Manuel wore that hideous velvet purple jacket- and he kept gushing, "I look like Prince!"

I also hate it when people talk about his age like "oh my goodness he can still walk, you know he is 48 years old"! like he's supposed to be in an old folks home or something!

I hate when CJ calls him "Symbolina." She just wrote another article this week and called him that again. Or when she refers to his stature. He didn't choose his size.

Prince has had plastic surgery! Nobody's that fine naturally!

What bothers me the most is when people come to me and say: You're on the prince.org again. You're waiting for Prince to come back to Minneapolis and perform at the park again.You're going to Bunker's to see his ex-members play again or simply Prince again...
I really feel like answering: "Tell me what to listen to, then!" or "Tell me who to like, then!"
People shouldn't even have the right to judge people.

2day I got a fight with 1 of my best guy friends bcuz I was talking about 1 of his songs with one of my girl friends and he came and said r u talking again 4 that gay motherfucker who... (well i won't tell this it's 2 dirty) and i told him 2 fuck off bcuz i have told him 1 billion times that i really like him and i want him 2 respect this but as i see his an asshole...and even if he's gay i don't care i support gay people bcuz it's their life and they do whatever they want and ok i simply like his music and character i'm not gonna fuck him so i'll care if he's gay or not.And he doesn't even know anything about him he has only seen one of his pics and he is talking about him!!!!!He thinks that Timberlake is cool.If he only knew that he copies Prince and even this can't do right...sorry about this i got really mad!

But if I weren't a fan of "American Idol", I'd have no idea that he was still making music. I saw him there first and then everything slowly started unraveling and I became more of a fan with each surprise performance (meaning I'd hear of it on short notice).

In fact, if I weren't a football fan, I wouldn't have seen him in the SuperBowl and I wouldn't have come here and become the fan I am. Then I wouldn't have had any idea the kind of career he has going for him currently.

it's 2 years older than I am... so it's 23 years old.

I spoke 2 a girl of about 15 the other day and when I said Prince she replied "WHO?" I remained calm and chose the best and most common reply: "The artist who sang Purple Rain. I turned my back and walked away 'cause I saw her eyes glazing over. She has no idea what she is missing.

Another one that I hate is "Oh, the artist formally known as Prince". I then go into the whole explanation of the WB contract etc..... But what I really want to do is provide a swift wake up slap and respond with: "NO YOU IGNORANT FOOL! WHERE HAVE U BEEN?"

My nephew,we call him little jimmy because his dad is big jimmy he says all the time that prince is gay and i tell him he doesnt know anything about grown folks music and thats why they call him little.we both get on eachothers nerves but he always starts it everytime i start listening to prince when hes around.

I don't have that many problems when I say I'm a Prince enthusiast. (I'm also a Michael Jackson fan--toss his name into a conversation and see how fast you get shredded!)

Here are a couple of things I've heard:

"He sounds like Curtis Mayfield"--My Dad said that. (Just for the rec, who the hell is Curtis Mayfield?) My father also calls him "Princess" as a gay joke. I keep pointing out Mayte to him and saying that she was his wife. Hell once I even pointed out Manuela!

"He's a dirty little man."--My Mom. (You think if Prince was a choirboy I'd like him? Puh-lease!)

Most of my friends are P enthusiasts and I don't really mention it to other people outside my social circle.
