What Prince songs would make (or have been)the tightest samples in hip hop?

I remember Prince mentioning that a bunch of artists asked permission but a bunch were turned down.

I think 2pac did great
with the "777-9311" sample
and also that "Darlin Nikki" sample

on his All Eyez On Me album

I thought MC Hammer did great
with the "When Doves Cry" sample
for "Pray" also
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."

how clever to use
that laugh at the end of "DN"

that was HOT TAMALE!!! cool

let's see
let me pick out a few
I would love to hear sampled

maybe "Tambourine" & "All The Critics..."
slowed down a bit
being sampled by someone like
Andre3000
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."

None. The shit hoppers need to come up with their own damn music. If all they can do is mix someone else's song, they need to be a DJ, not someone supposedly making music.
