am curious if he's performed any 'new' tracks lately.

Not sure if there are any new Prince-penned songs, but there are new mixes, for example, The Word (House Mix) and BL&B (House Mix)..

I've been curious about this for a long time.

For the time leading up to Musicology and post-Musicology the song output has been a trickle compared to his previous output.

But in his interviews he's always quick to say that he's always recording new music.

My hunch is he's hording away a bunch of new material to be released as he pleased. I don't think he's slown down as much as he's decided not to leak anything.

And with how unimpressive his songs have been as of late, I can't blame him

If he's really getting ready to release a new album, then wouldn't it stand to reason that he'd have tried out some of the new material during the Vegas gigs? If he's really going to tour this year, wouldn't he be sharpening the band on some new material and using the club as a venue to do so?
