1999 was on the radio in the car and I hear his music in stores all the time

Heard "Little Red Corvette" in the grocery store, "Delirious" and "Letitgo" in the sandwich shop (separate days), and "1999" on the radio while driving in the car the other day -- funny thing, each time I was with a friend and didn't hear a word they were saying while the songs were playing. Also, just heard "Let's Go Crazy" thrown between some new hip-hop and "punk" rock on the radio last week. [Edited 1/11/07 1:42am]

The thing I hate most about winter is that I can't drive around with the windows down and the sunroof open...with Prince screamin' "WHAT'S...MY...NAME?!" Last place I heard him? In my car...this morning...on the way to work...windows all rolled up against the cold. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I might tend to overlook it if it were Prince being played, but waking me up with that crap s/he plays just tends to infuriate me!

Oddly enough, I heard "Black Sweat" playing over the PA in Wal-Mart the other night! My son had gotten a gift card for his birthday, and we were searching through the toy aisle for something for him to spend it on, when suddenly I hear that tell-tale whistle. It was quite surreal to be standing there in this crappy store, with my five year old singing "workin' up a black sweat" at the top of his lungs while holding onto a Jack Sparrow dress-up set!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Oh, I never said I wasn't singing along, just not as loud as he was! He's five, he can get away with singing at the top of his lungs in Wal-Mart to a Prince song. When I do it, the rednecks all look like they're ready to get their shotguns! Does it coun't that my friend sang "Head", "Cream" and "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad" yesterday while he and I were shopping?
If not, I head "Kiss" playing when I passed a Lane Bryant store in the mall Friday. I love a Man who:

If not, I head "Kiss" playing when I passed a Lane Bryant store in the mall Friday. Let me rephrase this....does he make your heart flutter when he sings??? Then maybe we can count it..... [Edited 1/11/07 16:59pm]
