I have bought a lot of Prince Shit in the past. I think he owes me some money!

Of course, as will we all. Except those who illegally download it and are therefore happily stealing the album. In which case, I do hope that they find it shit.

I won't know if I like it until I buy it.

With 3121 I did not download it before hand, nor did I read any opinions about it. I wanted to hear it for myself.

And even if I don't LOVE it overall, I'm sure I will enjoy some if not most of it.

The only album that I've considered a piece of shit is New Power Soul, which is technically an NPG album (anyway . . .)

Every other album - even N.E.W.S. has it high points and most of his later albums still have those 1 or 2 GEMS that are worth all the filler to get to.

I highly doubt the next one will be shit.

the only prince product i did not and will not buy is 1999: the new master.

it takes a lot for me to refuse to buy a prince album...so he has his work cut out for him.

I will buy it, but if it is a piece of crap, i just won't listen to it alot. I mean, it's good to see that we won't be anticipating for the release in a couple years like the 2-year gap between Musicology and 3121. I'm pretty skeptical on what it will sound like and I hope it's just a back to basics-type record (not saying 3121 or Musicology were bad albums, because they weren't, IMO).

Oh I'm buyin it, no doubt, even if the shit reeks to high heaven. I'm happy to say that none of his stuff has been that bad to me. Even his worst album had at least 2 to 3 songs that I liked on it. Plus I'm a collector of his stuff, so it'll be a part of the collection.
