I'm excited about this. After seeing a few photos he's taken, it's clear he has an eye.

wtf? prince really needs to pull a 200 online question series like sly did over at aintitcool. it was an eye opening experience for sly. he read all the talkback responces and was amazed at the fan's perspectives. so much so he is promising to come back and do 200 additional question and answers. sly even asked for career advises and asked for folks opinion on him re-making Death Wish. The fans had a serious discussion w/ pros and cons on both sides and in the end Stallone sided with the majority of the fans and decided to scrap the film idea. experts predicted Rocky Balboa would only gross 2 to 3 million but do to the huge goodwill that sly earned from doing the online questions the film took in over 6 million. now, its sad world we live in when Sly Stallone comes off smarter then you. Come on prince...what does a magazine have anything to do with your musical/creative genius? ego trip to the extreme... Amen to this ^^^^ The "specialty" magazine business doesn't make money. Based on Prince's history, he will not share any industry insight, or career insight, or personal insight, so what's the use..? | |

Really interesting news, but the print serials market has been taking major hits for the last few years. Not sure this is the greatest time to launch a print mag, unless the business plan is AIR TIGHT. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

If a magazine is launched I hope it is successful. I have subscribed in the past to Prince's other magazine as well as the fan club and I received all of my issues.
I ordered the ONA boxed set thru the NPGMC. The booklet inside my ONA box set was all creased,ruined and I asked if I could send it back and have a new booklet sent out. They told me to keep the old booklet, not to send it back and that they would send a new one. Guess what the NPGMC did, they sent me an ANOTHER boxed ONA set,the entire set! They have always done right by me and I supported the club. I'm sorry some people have had problems in the past and I wish that everyone could have had a successful outcome. | |

Why not just do a book of your photography? I mean, I luv ya man, but how many issues of interesting stuff can you really kick out , and still work on the music at the same time?.. But some ideas for the mag would be: * Recipes * Love Advice * Monthly Sexy Gal Centerfold * Misunderstood Song Lyrics (with an explanation to the more cryptic ones) "..Just close your eyes and count to 10...and when U open 'em I'll B standing naked with nuthin' but a SMILE on.." | |
