Someone please take a serious listen to the "Top Chef" intro song and tell me what you hear.

What I hear about halfway thru is Tevin Campbell's very first notes (the gospel-like "scream") of Round And Round.

I'm wondering if WB licensed that song to be sampled, or I'm wondering if Prince himself used a "stock" recording that anyone would have access too.

Se7en, you are exactly correct it does sound like Tevin Campbell's Round and Round notes! I've watched every episode of Top Chef and I noticed that right away. I brought up the same idea back on the NPGMC,only one person said they watched the show. The song must be able to be licensed or I think the Prince powers that be would have done something about it by now.

OK!! I knew I heard it but I didnt want to ask anyone else because I have friends that would be like WTF?!! LOL

if its a sample over 8 bars it has to be paid for, but its just a "stab" so nothing canbe done from a legal standpoint
