When the above didnt happen the album suddenly sucked.

I think that Prince was really in2 it at first (being so in love et al) But as the shadow of his baby's death loomed over his marriage he was kinda disappointed/frustrated with it. Cuz the album turned in2 a what could've been instead of a what is... i guess. hence he played so little songs from this album live and stopped the promotion...

guess we'll never really know???
