Emancipation would be considered a classic if Warners would have released it.Why? Because it would have sold 4 million albums,5 songs would have been top 10 hits & slick well produced videos would still be on Mtv . When the above didnt happen the album suddenly sucked. I think that Prince was really in2 it at first (being so in love et al) But as the shadow of his baby's death loomed over his marriage he was kinda disappointed/frustrated with it. Cuz the album turned in2 a what could've been instead of a what is... i guess. hence he played so little songs from this album live and stopped the promotion...
