That one, he kept it at least til 91 and painted it several times (unless he had several of them) it was in the Cream video too, the song that got me in2 Prince big time. Even though I don't really like this guitar I'd say this one too. It's amazing how he's kept it in good shape all throughout his career. It's actually kinda chipped around the edges (film doesn't capture it very well) and the strap is frayed like you wouldn't believe. But all that's just a sign of how it's been loooooved. Cloud
I dont like to see him with a that Hohner Tele much because this kind of guitar reminds me of guys like Springsteen (another kind of music). Symbol guitar is cool and unique, but if there is a "Prince" guitar, it´s the Cloud IMO. The design is very unique (old and modern at the same time) and the sound is unique too. |
