this is the least excited i've ever been about a prince song, but i hope it gets nominated, just so the possibility will exist that he'll perform it on the oscars. maybe he'll dress the twinz up in little penguin costumes and have them do the sexy waddle.

I remember when he use to amazing songs like "Good Love" to soundtracks.

It's nice and all if he gets the nod but I'm still mad that no songs from Purple Rain or Batman were even nominated for this stupid category. Why should he get nominated for this song and not the others(although he won for best score). This is what I call the Whoopi Goldberg effect. You don't get the trophy for the true performance you should've won for but, you get one later for a complimentary performance. That's a whole lot of bull if you ask me? Good luck anyway.

I don't get all the 'congrats to Prince' stuff. All this article says is that the song is ELIGIBLE to be nominated, not that it IS nominated. It's just a listing of all the songs that appeared in films this year that meet the requirements for nomination.
