Please pick a winner ...I recently rounded up 15 teens at work (cruise liner) and had them listen these tracks and to pick a winner
judging ,beat,lyrics,originality...and guess who won 13 out of 15 for all 5 match-ups ? PRINCE !!! These teens were blown away...ages were 14-19 years old and none of them fans of Prince...these teens knew only tabloid crappy stories of Prince and after listening these (few) songs of his they are eager to get a hold of some more ...4 of them told that some of these song cant be that old (kiss,erotic city,,,)"they sound so now" yet older than them.

Prince wins a 5 for sure! Althoiugh Sexy Back is really not that bad. I find myself kinda jammin' when it comes on!

No doubt Prince wins all 5 in my book. I'm just pleased that he won among the teens you rounded up.

That just goes to show that kids today do have the desire to appreciate talent when they hear it, they just aren't being exposed to it.

I say we start a Real Music Coalition and round up teens everywhere and expose them to what Viacom, Clear Channel, MTV and BET won't...REAL MUSIC!

questions like "when was this released?"...then came GET OFF...a few of them admitted that they heard it before but didnt really listened the lyrics ...one girl shouted "sexy back is lame ,this Prince guy is the shit"
They ended up exausting the hell out of my prince mix disc...even i got tired of hearing it being repeat for the better part of 2 hrs ...the kids were blown away by the lyrics...except for 2 guys 16 & 17 who were into guitar shredding stuff ...they called Prince uncool untill i Played for them the ending of lets go crazy(guitar solo)..at this Point you could see the smiles of acceptance from these 2 dudes ...they ended up dominating that disc just the play that particular guitar solo over & over again ...interesting thing happened then ,they started arguing (both guys )one said Slash(guns & roses) had nothing on this Prince guy,he stated that 1984 was ages ago and that guitar solo is badder then anything he's heard recently ,the other disagreed...I had to break them up before that arguement got out of hand !!!

let them listen 2 the guitar work on "shhh,? of u, Joy In repetition, and Anna Stesia, oh and batdance!! that would really blow their minds

I think IMAGE is what drives kids to buy this crap. Today's bands are all about appearance and hardly about real music. The girls are hot, they guys look cool, the rappers have cool cars and hot women in their videos. But the music is all crap.

I firmly believe that Prince would still be huge if his current music was played on the radio like in the past.
