In all honesty, I don't think anyone outside of this site, housequake etc. is actually thinking about this. I like the Revolution, but to say they deserve to be in the RRHOF when Prince did the majority of their instrumental work on the albums they were credited as performing on, is grossly misplaced. W&L are good musicians, Dr. Fink was outstanding, but RRHOF? Out of Prince's entire camp Sheila probably derserves the most logical chance. She was a highly sought after session player before Prince and continues to be a drumming icon. The RRHOF has ommitted far more deserving bands that really need some serious consideration and inductions. [Edited 12/12/06 22:12pm]

When I tell casual Prince fans that W&L put out some albums and do session work the general response is "Ni$$a, who gives a f$%^", and then I walk away all lonely and stuff.

It's been documented. It's just so bizarre to me how people want to downplay their significance here on the org. It's like people actually RESENT The Revolution or something. I mean C'mon. ?uestlove from The ROOTS says that The Revolution was the 'last great band', and he's right. 100% right. Really, what's the problem here?
I don't resent The Revolution. They were a good band but tell me what The Revolution has done that's RRHOF worthy. Baby, Im A Star at the Syracuse concert '85
