Ultimate P Import. Erotic city remix? Is this the Ultimate Prince that contains the Erotic City Remix?

As far as I know, the tracklist for the Ultimate Prince album is the same for all versions (eg. import & non-import)...none of them contain Erotic City in any form.

I have the australian version and no Erotic City.  I think I remember someone saying the same thing DevotedPuppy said. Where is BorisFishpaw. He'll know. | |

He'll know.I have both the Australian and the US versions and they have the exact same tracklist which does not include Erotic City. But gyro34, you should get it anyway...imho, it's totally worth it, since several of the songs on disc 2 were previously only available on vinyl or bootlegs.  | |

http://www.amazon.com/Ult...hisProduct 'Erotic City' doesn't feature on 'Ultimate Prince'. It featured on 'The Hits / The B-Sides' in its shorter (3'55") format. The longer version is sometimes referred to as the 'Extended Version', although it is the full version - the shorter being an edit of it. It has been released on German manufactured CD single (3" and 5" versions) backed with 'I Would Die 4 U (Extended Version)'. The 'Extended Version' on this release is referred to as 'Dance Mix'. The latter was one of the singles which Prince considered was released by Warners without his agreement (and was named in the 'The Ways of the Pharaoh' episode). . Thank you, Hokie1 and DevotedPuppy. Since the import version is pricier and has the same tracks, I am going to buy two copies of the US version. I missed out on the extended versions/remixes of many songs from the beginning of Prince's career up until 1999. So, it really saddens me that the decision whether to include Erotic City turned into a conflict between WB and Prince, and in the end us the loyal fans end up losing. | |
