Happy Thanksgiving Prince! and other Vegans

Happy Thanksgiving P!

Soy Thanksgiving Dinner!

Turkeyless Turkey

1 recipe stuffing (see stuffing recipe)
2 pounds chicken style seitan, cut into 1" slices
1 cup gravy (see gravy recipe)
1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
1/4 cup soy milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Arrange overlapping slices of seitan on baking pan in a row, mounding in center. Pour 1/4 cup gravy over.

Press stuffing mixture around seitan to cover completely. Press into a neat oval.

Roll pastry sheets out to 1/16" thickness. Drape pastry over mound; trim excess away around bottom. Use scraps to cut out decorative shapes (leaves, apples, etc.) attach shapes with dabs of cold water.

For a shiny crust, brush pastry lightly with soymilk.

Bake 1 hour, covering pastry with foil if it browns too much.

To serve, cut straight down through pastry, stuffing and seitan to make neat 1/4" slices. Spoon gravy over each serving.

Don't forget to say a prayer for all the turkeys that had to be shot and stuffed!

I don't know why people keep insisting the man is a vegan. He's been seen eating flesh in the recent past.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yep, I'm still a bit bemused at that too. Sad to say, but he's not been vegan for sometime now.
